a song plays on...

Whether you know it or not but music is written into our DNA, our spiritual DNA by God our Creator. Music was created to help express or declare truth which results in praise to Him. Music is powerful. It isn't contained within one or two dimensions. It is multi-dimensional. There is always a song playing in the heart.

As is with lots of things God has created, many have taken this beautiful creation to promote themselves, degrade others, propagate evil, accentuate death and destruction. There is no praise to God in this but only sadness and disappointment.

For me music has been a bright light, a majestic mountain range, a sweet smelling BBQ someone is cooking, a joyful melody in the soul. Like water it refreshes and like food it nourishes.

Here are the words to a song (Lincoln Brewster) that is all this for me. What song of praise is playing on your station today?

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord.

Our God, You reign forever. Our hope, our Strong Deliverer
You are the everlasting God. The everlasting God
You do not faint. You won't grow weary
You're the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles.

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord

Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer
You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint You won't grow weary
You're the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles

Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer
You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint You won't grow weary
You're the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles.
