Choices number 2

Live today looking at what should be and can be and will be today and in eternity, rather than living today looking back at the could have beens, failures, and pain. We have two eyes, one for looking at today and one for looking toward eternity. Paul of Tarsus said to live today forgetting what is behind (not meaning to really forget it, but to release it from holding you back, taking with you the good and leaving the rest in the past) but looking forward, straining toward that which we were created to be and do by God in Christ Jesus. This is where the new life, the abundant life, the life of impact and influence exists.

Choices

One of my passions is to help people understand and be empowered to make right choices and good choices. God gave us the opportunity in choices to bring good to others. Good is the Good News of Jesus. There is the hope of being rescued, redeemed and restored.

Joseph Epstein once said, "We do not choose to be born. We do not choose our parents, or the country of our birth. We do not, most of us, choose to die; nor do we choose the time and conditions of our death. But within this realm of choicelessness, we do choose how we live."

For, to me, to live - Chirst. The life I live I live by faith in the One who gave his life for me. So, whatever I do, whether I eat or drink, whether in words or actions, I do it all for the honor of God.

I was at a Baseball Camp today. One of the coaches was working with the kids on the subject of Integrity. He taught that integrity was something about one's values. He was only scratching the surface. Integrity has to do with the melding or cohesiveness of the internal and the external life. It's about setting in motion the practice of honesty, truthfulness, honor, authenticity, reliability. It is soundness or completeness all the way through and through. God speaks of integrity as the one thing that guides and guards one in the path of life. Jesus modeled integrity perfectly. There was nothing shady, dark, impure, or questionable in his speech and actions. I like integrity. It will hold you up. It is a firm foundation, a strong wall, a guiding light on the dark seas, a secure path to walk. It always leads you safely home to God.

Something New

I usually have lots to say but either don't take the time or don't have the time to express my thoughts. I thought I'd try this portal. I hope I will have something worth saying and that what is said will help others find and live a better life.
